Officine Panerai brand is admired by all watch lovers because of their historic designs which are both beautiful and timeless. Panerai is widely known to look good with a suite, and yet their larger size makes them a bit sporty. This is why Panerai watches have a tendency to produce larger timepieces which is also due to the demand of modern watch lovers. Let’s take a look at one of their popular models – Panerai Luminor Submersible PAM569 Titanium.
Panerai Luminor Submersible PAM569
Panerai Luminor Submersible PAM569 looks very much alike any other Panerai Luminor Submersible to the any untrained eye (read about Panerai watches main differences). This also goes for other Panerai models, but that’s probably the biggest benefit for all Panerai owners. Panerai has some basic style case and dial elements, which oscillate with different materials and minor tweaks to form a new model. Read more on Panerai watches main differences. It is true that Panerai may not experience a significant innovation, but this is also a tactic that works well for the brand because of the design of existing watches that are loved all around the world. This makes the sole essence of the Panerai watches and makes the biggest potential asset forever on their popularity.
Panerai Luminor Submersible PAM569 Left-Handed Titanium has a wide assortment of unique features, both functional and design wise. However, there are some elements that are unique to Panerai Luminor Submersible PAM569. Panerai Luminor Submersible PAM569 is “true” dive Panerai watch with 300 meter water resistance and rotating bezel for divers. Although the whole Panerai brand is derived from diving watches, most of them are not really usable for diving. The lack of a rotating bezel and waterproof is single most determining factor. So if you want a wristwatch for diving with Panerai name on it, then the Luminor Submersible is the answer.
The thing that makes this series unique is the case made of titanium. This is not the only Panerai watch with titanium case out there, but it is one of the factors that you should know. That means this case is relatively lightweight and strong, but also has a grey colour more than the steel, and that it will show signs of wear more quickly because of the tendency of titanium to get easily scratched.
Left hand orientation
Another distinguishing factor is the crown for the left-handed orientation. In fact, to achieve this, the whole movement has been reversed so that the crown becomes more elongated to the left than the right side in this case. This is not only important from the perspective of style, but because of the Panerai crown locking system case adds size to fit this case. In the normal orientation of the user watches with his right hand, when the crown on the right case, it can pierce the wrist accidentally. By positioning the crown on the left, this problem is dramatically reduced because the structure of the crown that stands out is on the left, not the right. Of course this will work if you prefer to wear a watch on his left arm, but if you’re more comfortable using a watch on the right arm, you should choose watches with normal orientation.
Not all Panerai Luminor Submersible watches are meant to look retro as this model with old style Luminant colour and brown leather strap. Notice that these watches also have a pattern of “Clos du Paris” which makes it a little different from cleaner matte dial available on other Panerai Luminor Submersible models.
Much of this is just because of fashion, but an assortment of colors and styles are certain very interesting. You still get that “clean” appearance Panerai face, but full function and legibility. However, the hand looked a bit too short, but it did not really affect the dial. I also continue to like the design as well as the hour markers minimalist “style dot” markers on the rotating bezel. It was just a whole to make a handsome appearance, but it sure looks that have been perfected by Panerai after playing around with it for so many generations of the same timepieces.
With a width of 47mm, Panerai Luminor Submersible PAM569 Left-Handed Titanium is not a small watch, but wearable, especially if you are a big guy. If you only need one “big clock” in your life, choosing Panerai Luminor Submersible PAM569 would not be a bad idea. Unfortunately, too many complicated lines and appeal of Panerai Luminor case with cutouts pillows were supposed to deliver the classic look – yet they do not show it. This is probably because too much detailed watches also have a large case, thus making a big competition to Panerai Submersible. Aesthetic design of Panerai tend to work to their advantage in this regard.
The movement in the Panerai Luminor Submersible PAM569 Left-Handed Titanium is Panerai caliber P.9000 automatic. Movement frequency is 4Hz (28,800 bpd) and it has backup power for three days and it includes the time and date with a second arm. This is not a complicated movement that has many things to complain about. This movement also reflects the Panerai utilitarian theme Panerai.
Handsome and sporty, Panerai Luminor Submersible PAM569 Left-Handed Titanium proves to be flexible and comfortable in a variety of situations. This watch is perfect for any occasion, but it is never in accordance with the place. However, it also offers some distinctive features so it does not look just like any other Panerai. One could compare it to the limited edition Panerai PAM664 model.
